4/11/2008 never under-estimate a child

What can a 10-month-old learn in a week? The list gets pretty long - pulling up standing in the crib, crawling(finally...), pulling plug in the bathtub and flooded the bathroom floor... and, pointing to the picture of the kitten when mommy asked where's the kitten (tried 3 times with different objects and baby got it right 3 times... so sure now he recognize kitten, banana and Elmo among all other things). Although I have realized my little one seems to know a lot and have a lot of likes and dislikes, I have never felt so much that the little mind really knows what I was talking and was not just laughing at the meows mommy makes when reading the books... This is almost as significant as the moment when I saw the first ultrasound where the only thing visable was the flashing dot - and the doctor happily announced - that's your baby's heart. yes, that's my baby's heart, inside me.
