This actually happened two weeks ago. Even though it's really embarassing to acknowledge that I actually drove the car with an almost empty tank until only 3 miles are left on the car and the nearest gas station according to GPS is 4.5 miles away... or well, it's a long story on what happened but that's not the point... The point is, while we just parked the car and sat down for lunch at a nearby Whataberger while waiting for AAA to come to rescue, Charlie sat down in his high chair and claimed, slowly, "Charlie Jiu (rescue) mama". My brave little man, you just did!
Looking back at the blog, I suddenly had a feeling that I'm not really doing justice to the true personality of Charlie. I have probably been too absorbed as a proud parent to just post a cute picture and write down new things he just learned and I've actually failed miserably to tell the simple truth, to me and to him when in the future he can actually read these - Charlie is a very funny kid! (where did he get that from??) He had such a rich expression on his face and in his voice, high energy and capability of pretending something that didn't exist that he cracks us up all the time. Charlie, please stay a true kid in your heart even when you grow up to be a 6'5 tall man. (when I asked Charlie who is the shortest person in our family, he had a shy smile and pointed to himself but he's probably going to be taller than mommy in no time..)
